Hi

Let me introduce myself, my name is Graham and I'm a veteran of that memorable last weekend in October at The Peel known as St Newts or Newts.

We have heard the sad news that this watering hole is no longer open and as this was our base for the celebrations we are now newts out of water..

So we are now looking for a new venue. I can remember that the Hockey Club were regular patrons of The Peel and hopefully can remember the appearance of past students at Newts weekend.

I guess the big question is, can you let me know please where you all now drink and whether it would be suitable for hosting Newts on the Friday and Saturday night. The dates this year are the 26th and 27th October. Ideally the venue should have a pool table, table football machine and some entertainment such as karaoke in the same way as The Peel.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Apparently Roy who used to be the landlord at The Peel is now running the Black Swan in Thornton Road.

So the venue for St Newts this year will be the Black Swan. Roy has said he will be laying on entertainment for both Friday and Saturday night
